infrared @ SYMBIOSIS

A new infrared project, under the title 313/315 is part of the SYMBIOSIS exhibition at the hotel Ariston, in the context of the XV Biennale de la Mediterranee.
The exhibition is opening on Friday, October 7th, at Hotel Ariston, Dioikitiriou (Karaoli & Dimitriou) 5. Starting at 21:00 and onwards.

EEE? in Aristotelous Square

The new infrared project was installed today in Aristotelous Square. "EEE?", designed and built by infrared, is part of a larger project, commissioned by the Municipality of Thessaloniki and which includes 6 installations designed by 6 different artists/teams. Each installation is a free interpretation/representation of a human ear, that functions as a place where the citizens can leave notes addressed to the municipality.

Seven months after the completion of the Thess Bic Seat? project, infrared are (almost) ready to present a new installation in Thessaloniki. While more will come soon, this is a video of our previous attempt, and here is more information on that project.

Infrared invites you at the installation thess bic seat?, part of the event "I Thessaloniki Allios" organized by Parallaxi, on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th. The installation suggests a new way of seating at the Nea paralia of Thessaloniki, combined with a space for bicycle stands. The geometry of the constructed object consists of a sequence of gradually differentiating planes thus creating a fluid, complex form. The shape offers many possibilities of ways of seating as well as playing and climbing for the children.
